You are warmly invited to join Suffolk poet Vanessa Raison for a workshop filled with exercises designed to connect you to your own landscapes, whether inner or outer, in dialogue with the art that is surrounding you in the intimate space of Gallery White Box. Ness will bring in poems to share and to begin the journey. Suitable for adults all levels of experience. Limited to 6 participants. Bring something to write with.

Vanessa Raison completed an MA in Poetry at UEA in 2021 and performed at INK 2022 where she now runs Poets on Wheels. She has been published by Egg Box, the Poetry Society online, Golf Quarterly, Twelve Rivers and on Aldeburgh lamp posts. She is a member of the East Suffolk Poetry Group and Suffolk's Champion of Poetry Together. Her career was spent teaching English, Media and Creative Writing at Camden School for Girls and Acland Burghley with two years in Nkroful, Ghana, and as a journalist for The List, Time Out Guides, e-mag and MediaMagazine. Ness is a poet in Aldeburgh and teaches JUST WRITE! in the Library.

Mini Monotypes Saturday 6th December 15.30-17.00

Learn how to create small watercolour monotype prints at this workshop with artist, Liza Kelly. Monotype is a form of painterly printmaking, resulting in a unique printed image that can be replicated but never repeated. The technique can be easily done at home without a press and with minimal equipment. Materials are provided, suitable for all levels of experience. Suitable for adults, limited to 6 participants. Please bring along a drawing or image (e.g., a photo or image from a magazine) to work from, size A6 or smaller.
